Luscious Lemonade Stand

I have finally found something that i can cook... well okay, so it's not really cooking, but it does involve being in the kitchen doesn't it? I have recently perfected a wonderful lemonade recipe and i'm completely obsessed with my little drink. Incorporating a rustic, vintage lemonade stand at your wedding, or having a lemonade themed engagement shoot is simply the sweetest thing. It just goes to show that once again, everything old is new again! I LOVE homemade lemonade!

The leader of the new age Lemonade brigade in Australia is without a doubt, Monique Bowley of The Little Van That Could. Monique takes her retro van on tour to all the coolest festivals in Adelaide where she sells her homemade Lemonade. Business is so good that she recently started bottling her homemade goodness and is now adding milkshakes to her van of treats. The Little Van That Could can also be hired for parties, weddings and bridal showers. Monique's story is truly inspiring and i'm so glad to see somebody in Australia making a living out of what i've always dreamt of doing. I love The Little Van That Could.

Grill'd Burger Airstream Wedding Feast

I've been loving vintage caravans for a long time now, and when Grill'd healthy burgers added a funky airstream van to their company i was just thrilled. Having seen couples arrange an ice-cream van to visit and serve treats to their wedding guests, i got to thinking, how cool would it be to have the Grill'd airstream arrive and serve delicious burgers and the best french fries ever, to your wedding guests. Not only does the caravan look uber-cool but the delights they dish out are super-delicious. This idea is bound to be a hit... especially late at night after dancing the night away.

And... as it happens, the lovely Ms Polka Dot over at Polka Dot Bride
has just showcased a wedding on their blog today that did exactly this.
The happy couple, Matt and Julie, held a beautiful garden wedding and
has the Grill'd Airstream on hand for a delicious dinner... how fabulous !!

Gelato Bar

If i had to make a list of my favourite things in life, one of them would definitely be ice-cream. I guess that comes as no surprise as i've written before about having a vintage ice-cream van arrive at your wedding or setting up a vintage ice-cream stall and serving ice cream cones.

It's all about the experience of having interactive food and dessert bars... they are a very popular feature at weddings these days. So when last month i attend an event for The Wedding Collective in Brisbane, i almost melted when i saw the superb gelato ice bar they had... Bravo! ... I am adding this to my 'dream wedding' scrapbook. Serving gelato out of an ice sculpted bar is so perfect for a Queensland wedding.

If an extravagent ice bar doen't fit into your budget, why not place ice cream tubs in decorative bowls filled with crushed ice. It's like Caviar for kids !! Or you could even serve your ice cream in individual ice bowls. For that extra special touch, freeze rose petals into the bowls.

How cute is this !!! Individual ice-creams in mini mason glasses! Simply fill a display bowl with crushed ice, and rest the ice cream (or gelato) filled mason glasses around it. Super sweet !!
