Duck Duck Duck... Egg Blue

Easter has me thinking, and in love with Duck Egg Blue all over again. So today i am re-posting my duck egg blue inspiration board.

Duck egg blue, Robin's egg blue, pale blue, ice blue, french blue. The contrast of a subtle soft blue against wedding white is so romantic and simply stunning.

Dance With Me

If I was to get married tomorrow I think I would like my first dance to be a song i've only just discovered... We Are Man And Wife, by Michelle Featherstone. Perfect title, perfect lyrics, perfect song for me and Mr Perfect to share our first dance as husband and wife.

My cousin is getting married this July and I know she is currently looking for a song for her first dance, so I've put together a quick list of some fabulous (and different), songs that you might not have thought of. There's a real mix here, some fast, some slow, some obvious, some you will have never though of, but just maybe they will lead you somewhere over the rainbow to your perfect wedding song.

Just Call Me Angel Of The Morning, Angel

My favourite time of the day is mornings. My entire family are 'early-to-bed, early-to-rise' types. Frog Prince loves mornings too... that was until he met me!

In the mornings Frog Prince calls me 'radio Dj'. When i wake i am alive, happy and full of life. For him, it takes some time to open the eyes and begin to function. I know i annoy the heck out of him, but I've tried to explain that i've not always been this way, its basically all his fault.

You see, when i wake and open my eyes to see him next to me... i get so excited... so so sooooo excited !!! And then i start to giggle!! I can't help it... when i see him next to me i want to touch his skin, hug him and kiss him. I want to make sure that all of this hasn't just been one long dream... i need to see if he is truly real!! So i'll lean over and pretend to 'accidently' touch him in my sleep. Problem is, by this time he has sensed that i'm awake (and add to that the fact that i'm trying to hold back giggles of laughter because i know just how naughty i am being!!) Then i get in trouble and Frog Prince starts croaking at me for waking him. And i just smile and giggle... life is too short to not enjoy every second that i am with my gorgeous Frog Prince. Whenever he comes into my view, when i wake, when he walks into a room, when i watch him walk ahead of me... i just melt and think how lucky i am to have found someone who makes me feel this way... And i just know this feeling will last a lifetime.

"You came along just like a song and brightened my day. Who'd have believe that you were part of a dream. Now it all seems light years away. And now you know I can't smile without you, I can't smile without you, I can't laugh and I can't sing. I'm finding it hard to do anything."

My point of this whole story is that your engagement photos will be all that more captivating if you draw on something that is special between you and your partner. Something that makes you smile, something that makes you shine! Something that will forever remind you (or annoy you) about the love of your life.

Oh So Engaging

I've just spent all day dreaming through these sensational, sultry engagement photo by photographer Tanja Lippert. Every time I visit her website the music and the images send me to a place that definitely exists purely on love. Tanja has a knack for capturing the essence of romance, love and marriage, and it's completely mesmerizing! I'm envious of any couple that has the opportunity to have an engagement photo shoot like this. Now I'm wondering... Do I have to be engaged to have a photo session like these with the Frog Prince?

She'll Be Apples

I love the colour green, it's my all time favourite colour, but I have to credit my Frog Prince for coming up with the idea of an apple themed wedding (he thought that i wouldn't be able to come up with anything !! silly boy).

I just wish there was a venue like The Canero Inn where I live. The apple orchard is such a cute setting for sharing your vows... and after all, shouldn't your fiance be the apple of your eye ?

P.S. I quickly had a look at what the saying "She's apples" means and interestingly enough this is what http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/ came up with ...

She'll be apples. (Australian informal) also She's apples. (Australian informal)
something that you say in order to tell someone that they do not need to worry and that everything will happen as it should 'What if it rains for the wedding?' 'Don't worry, she'll be apples.'
