Sail Away Sail Away Sail Away

'The love boat... exciting and new, come aboard, we're expecting you.
Love, life's sweetest reward. let it flow, it floats back to you'

As i've been writing this post i haven't stopped singing the theme song to The Love Boat. Along the way i've fallen overboard in lust with the combination of navy, white and red and also navy, white and gold. It's so classic, and i want to say 'tidy' (yes i'm a clean freak).

A theme based around sailing, yachting, boating... or the Hamptons, has so many fun, easy options. From sending your invitations as a message-in-a-bottle to having the groomsmen wearing 'love knots' on their lapels... no need to go overboard, crisp and simple works well here. The injection of chrome by the use of hurricane lanterns or classic chandeliers will give your nautical nuptials a real sense of style. This ship is set to sail.

Carousel of Life

Who can forget Mary Poppins, not just for the word "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" but also for the wonderful, magical carousel scene. Fast forward 45 years and now celebrities are climbing atop these colourful beauties and setting a picture perfect trend.

Row 1: Dita Von Teese, The Girls Next Door and Katy Perry come along for a ride.
Row 2: From Britney Spears and Pink, to Mary Poppins, everyone loves a carousel.
Row 3: Chanel bought carousels back into vogue showcasing their 2008 Autumn Winter collection on a carousel stage. While Angelina Jolie and son Maddox enjoy a carousel ride in Paris.

Romantic, fun, colorful and happy... what more could you ask for on
your engagement or wedding day?

A Whole New World

Don't you dare close your eyes,
A hundred thousand things to see,
Hold your breath - it gets better...

I can show you the world,
Shining, shimmering, splendid

Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?

A thrilling Chase,
A wondrous place,
For you and me.

(lyrics: "A world new world")
