Piano... Piano !

If you or your partner are musically minded, why not plan your engagement photo shoot around your second love... music! (your first love being your fiance of course).

My inspiration board today is centred around the piano because i adore the rustic, charismatic vibe of these photos. It makes so much sense to have a photo hanging on your wall that connects with you. You should have images that sing... or play, to the beat of your heart. So if you and your partner have an affinity with the piano, consider a romantic shoot incorporating a vintage piano. Sounds like music to my ears.

TiPi Marquee Wedding

Following on from my love of cute vintage teepee tents for your photo shoots.... here's a trend that is popular in the UK that you might start seeing more of in Australia. It's TiPi marquees. These tipi style tents are inspired by those used by the Sami people in Lapland and are proving to be a big hit on the wedding scene. They are not only super-cute but also make for an exciting change to your everyday, run-of-the-mill marquee... plus there are so many options with them. The tipi tent can be used by either having the side panel down or raise them all for an open pavilion style soiree. And you're not limited with size either, choose just one tipi (which seats approximately 70 people) for an intimate occassiom or join two or more together so you can create a dance floor or a sexy seated chill-out area for breaks between partying. The options for styling are only limited by your imagination. Just imagine your guests surprise, and delight, when they arrive to see they will be celebrating your big day under a big tent !! Wow !!

If you are hosting a country wedding, why not set up a 'Tipi Village' for your guests who can't find vacancies in the local bed and breakfast hotels. Just make sure you have a packet of marshmellows in each tipi for toasting around the camp fire!! This would definitely be a wedding your guests would remember.

Melbourne company Tipikata is just days away from launching and has fabulous giant tipi tents available for hire. Have a look at their Facebook page, call 0402 203 309 or email info@tipikata.com.au. I can't wait to see some Aussie tipi weddings.

Country Bride Photo Shoot

If there is one thing i love it's the outdoors. Although i can't claim rights to being a 'country girl' those that can should seriously consider injecting a little bit of country style into their wedding day. This styled photo shoot by Ciara Richardson Photography captures all the glamour of a southern belle bride. Now this is country-cute !!!

A-doorable !!

The trend for using rustic doors as part of your wedding decor is still standing strong. There are so many ways you can use a simple set of doors to add a bit of character to your wedding styling. Think about using them to reveal the brides arrival, as a backdrop for photos or an altar, or to display escort cards and seating arrangements. The possibilities are endless... and as you can see... a-door-able !!

If you are looking to hire a set of statement vintage doors for your Brisbane (or South-East Queensland) wedding, contact any of these favorable vendors:
