White Christmas Wedding

Though there is no snow in Paris for Christmas this year, i can't help but dream of a white Christmas wedding. Where ever you are in the world, I wish you the merriest and happiest Christmas. I hope you are all surrounded by stockings full of love... after all, isn't that the best gift you could ever receive?
Lots of Christmas Love, Frog Princess xx

Danielle & Brett Morgan

I've been waiting for this day for sooo long now. The day that i can share with you the divine images of my cousin, Danielle's, wedding. Today, with the release of the May-July issue of Bride To Be magazine, and her wedding being printed in this edition, i can now show you the very best of this stunning snow wedding.

Most brides think of Cinderella when planning their wedding... but for Danielle Farrelly, she turned to Snow White, and planned a romantic destination wedding in the snow at Thredbo.

The intimate wedding, with just 30 family and friends, was the perfect fusion of classic elegance and a sprinkle of modern drama. "We had a vision to create an utterly dreamy atmosphere amongst the sparkling surroundings," Danielle says. "The day was a dream come true." After the wedding the couple continued their celebrations for a week of skiing with family and friends.

Her princess gown is... of course... by the very talented Brad Webb of Darb Bridal Couture. The magical location is The Denman Hotel in Thredbo. Danielle's hot, hot pink heels are by the uber-chic Christian Lacroix. Picture perfect beautiful !!!!! Soooooooooo proud of my princess bride cousin !!!

Bridal Wellington Boots by Holster Fashion

So Summer has left us in Australia, but regardless of that mother nature is playing her own game anyway. Because of this, if i was a bride-to-be, i would definitely be preparing for all types of weather on my wedding day. But don't let it be a downer... have fun with it! When my cousin got married recently in the snow, she desperately wanted to have a pair of wellington boots and had trouble finding them in Australia (she eventually did, her photo is below). Brides despair no more... Noosa based Holster Fashion has just released a range of bejewelled wellington boots, available in a flat or wedge heel for $122.95. Holster are known for their jeweled shoes, but if you are not loving the diamontes, why not cover them with a gorgeous satin bow. I think they are fabulous !!

Snow Red

It's a very exciting time for my family, in only a few weeks time my dear cousin, Danielle is getting married in the snow in Australia. I know her wedding is going to be stunning. So far just the invitations for the wedding and her hen's night have been pure perfection!

When we were growing up Danielle had the most beautiful thick, luscious red hair, it was so pretty. That's why today i thought i'd create a snow wedding inspiration board with a splash of red (how gorgeous are the red gum boots with red ribbon...and they are on sale right now!). Forget Snow White, this is Snow Red!

Let It Glow

When I saw this first image of a marquee with a pathway of glowing paper lanterns, it made me all fuzzy inside. It took me back a few years to when my sister got engaged. I remember filling paper bags with sand and candles and placing them outside the marquee that was now sat in our front yard. They looked stunning.

I can't think of an easier, yet effective way to warmly usher you guests into your welcoming arms than by using simple luminaries. I'm glowing !

There are a myriad of wonderful luminaries you can create yourself. The project sheet for the lace luminaries, in rows 2 and 4 above, can be found at Martha Stewart Weddings.

For a winter wedding, why not create frozen luminaries? Follow the project sheet at Creative Home Style. And for a unique and personal centrepiece, go to Little Black Sheep for an easy step-by-step guide to making your own photo luminaries.
