Monique Lhuillier 'Meriah'

Back in the Fall of 2009, Monique Lhuillier created what i would say is one of her most iconic gowns. I think the gown came to fame (so to speak) because of two amazing weddings and one photoshoot featured on junebug weddings. Monique Lhullier's Meriah gown is fun, girly and oh-so dreamy, just take a look.

My love for this fun and fashionable gown has just gone through the roof when i stumbled across these images by Mel Barlow Photography. I love everything about this wedding. The bride made this dress her own, by adding a super-fashionable necklace that seriously makes this gown a show-stopper. And how fabulous is the mother of the bride !!! Love Love Love !!!

Love this dress, but can't afford the $9,000 price tag? ...
here are a few pre-loved Monique Lhuillier Meriah gowns for sale

Vintage Brooch Bouquet

Gemstone bouquets are catching the eye of modern brides. Rather then splurging on a bouquet of flowers that last only a few days, brides are opting for a new-age bouquet version of a cluster of gemstone and brooches. Whether you buy an already made one or design and create a bouquet yourself, it's certainly going to be a wedding keep-sake.

New Age Ball Gown

I've written previously about a photo that i've kept in my scrapbook for years which features a bride and her two bridesmaids wearing gorgeous different coloured ball gowns. Today it's bought me inspiration again. I was reminded of it when i saw designer Jil Sanders Spring Summer 2011 collection. I just love the simple white t'shirt and solid coloured ball skirt. How good would this look on a group of bridesmaids!!! Love !!

Celebrities show how to wear a white shirt and ball gown with style.

If I haven't convinced you yet just how wonderful this look would be for a wedding... here is a wedding that made a bold statement using bridesmaids dressed in mismatched solid bright colours and a simple white shirt.
