Kate Ceberano, the Ultimate Wedding Singer
I'm a big fan of Kate Ceberano, always have been. Over the years my Mum and I have developed this special thing between us, where-by we always try to go to her concerts together (we have the best fun). But, around this time last year I had just met Frog Prince and it just so happened that there was a Kate Ceberano concert on that same week. Aarrghhh, what's a girl to do?
Well, taking a gamble I invited Frog Prince along too. Poor thing, i'd literally met him a week before and already he was being introduced to my Mum and our Kate Ceberano obsession. None-the-less he agreed and came along... it was amazing (and as always he ran into about 20 friends of his there, so not so embarassing for him after all). It ended up being quite a beautiful occasion because the concert also fell on the anniversary of his brothers death, who was an amazing musician and the whole event almost seemed in honour of him. So my Frog Prince, Kate and Kerry (my mum), had a superb night (but then again, Frog Prince and I always have the best fun together). You know, even if he didn't like Kate he had better get used to her because it has always been a dream of mine to have her sing at my wedding/party... how cool would that be?? ... and how costly would it be?? Well i can tell you...
If you would like to have Kate Ceberano perform at your wedding, you can book her through Ralph Carr Management for $30,000 + GST + Production and travel. To be honest, for Kate... I'd pay it. I would seriously cut back on other things just to have Kate sing at my wedding... especially when she performs the songs of my other all time favourite band, Fleetwood Mac... I'm in heaven.
"You Can Go Your Own Way"
performed by Kate Ceberano
Loving you isn't the right thing to do
How can I ever change things that I feel?
If I could, baby I'd give you my world
How can I, when you won't take it from me?
You can go your own way, go your own way
You can call it another lonely day
You can go your own way, go your own way
Tell me why everything turned around?
Packing up, shacking up, is all you wanna do?
If I could, baby I'd give you my world
Open up, everything's waiting for you
You can go your own way, go your own way
You can call it another lonely day
You can go your own way, go your own way

Frog Princess Bridal Party
I think i would be, quite possibly, the easiest person to plan a bridal shower for. It so simple, i would have a Frog Princess / Prince party.
There are so many elements of this theme to play with, starting with the basics... mixing pretty princess pink with frog prince green. With the colour scheme arranged, the table could then be set with delicate tiaras for all my BFF's, and Juicy Couture Frog Prince charms (or tiara charms) as gifts. If i could still manage to move after devouring a mountain of Freddo frog chocolates, i would play a round of pin-the-crown on my Frog Prince (after indulging in an apple martini and pink champagne or two!)
Chatting and giggling over an Amy Atlas inspired dessert table, i'm not sure if it would be the champagne, the sugar, or the dream coming true of marrying my Frog Prince, that would have me giddy with love, happiness and excitement. One things for sure, i will no longer be singing "Someday my prince will come. Someday i'll find a love. And how thrilling that moment will be, when the prince of my dreams comes to me."

Oskars
I have a new favourite restaurant. I completely loooveee it! (of course it helps that the company of my Frog Prince always makes it to be the best dinner ever). Now i've decided that this is where i would have my wedding reception, if that day ever comes and until i change my mind that is. So, here it is...Oskars on Burleigh... pure paradise !!
I can't explain the atmosphere at Oskars more perfectly that what is on their website:
By day, the waves roll in lapping below you, almost close enough to throw out a line. The surf and sand have never been so close. As the sun sets, the beachgoers retreat, the moon rises over the ocean and the lights of the Surfers Paradise skyline command your attention. This is Oskars on Burleigh. Welcome to a unique dining experience.

I can't wait to go back to Oskars on Burleigh. Frog Prince is the best at ordering, he always spoils me by ordering a few dishes that we share and drool over (as you can see in the pictures below). But first we start with a cocktail (or a Hendricks gin) at the bar, before we move to our 'view with a table' (as opposed to a 'table with a view'). Then we indulge in the freshest oysters and some sparkling Champagne before our main meal. It's a real treat and definitely some of the best dining memories i have. Oskars on Burleigh is my pick for best wedding venue (on the Gold Coast anyway).

Bumbles Cafe
If there is one thing Frog Prince loves to do, it's to indulge in food. So for the past month he has spoilt me every weekend by taking me for breakfast at my all time favourite cafe on the Gold Coast, Bumbles Cafe.
I hesitate to write this because Bumbles is a beautiful little secret, hidden away on the quiet river front at Budds Beach... it is tranquil and picturesque... inside and out... and lovingly respected by the regulars who fill its seats.
The first thing you notice is the decor, it is divine ! With 4 small sitting rooms (each decorated totally differently), aswell as the serene alfresco seating, there is something for everyone. From the 'blue room' with its delicate lace plates hanging on the walls, to the 'library and picture rooms' with so many things to admire, Bumbles is absolute eye candy !! A total assault of your senses ! The smell of the coffee, the mouth-watering cakes, the tranquil surrounding, the gentle flicker of the tea-light candles and the shimmer of the sunshine on the river... you can see why this is my most favourite cafe... and sooooo perfect for a bridal shower !! I just hope Bumbles is still as beautiful when it's time for my shower !!

Just Call Me Angel Of The Morning, Angel
My favourite time of the day is mornings. My entire family are 'early-to-bed, early-to-rise' types. Frog Prince loves mornings too... that was until he met me!
In the mornings Frog Prince calls me 'radio Dj'. When i wake i am alive, happy and full of life. For him, it takes some time to open the eyes and begin to function. I know i annoy the heck out of him, but I've tried to explain that i've not always been this way, its basically all his fault.
You see, when i wake and open my eyes to see him next to me... i get so excited... so so sooooo excited !!! And then i start to giggle!! I can't help it... when i see him next to me i want to touch his skin, hug him and kiss him. I want to make sure that all of this hasn't just been one long dream... i need to see if he is truly real!! So i'll lean over and pretend to 'accidently' touch him in my sleep. Problem is, by this time he has sensed that i'm awake (and add to that the fact that i'm trying to hold back giggles of laughter because i know just how naughty i am being!!) Then i get in trouble and Frog Prince starts croaking at me for waking him. And i just smile and giggle... life is too short to not enjoy every second that i am with my gorgeous Frog Prince. Whenever he comes into my view, when i wake, when he walks into a room, when i watch him walk ahead of me... i just melt and think how lucky i am to have found someone who makes me feel this way... And i just know this feeling will last a lifetime.
"You came along just like a song and brightened my day. Who'd have believe that you were part of a dream. Now it all seems light years away. And now you know I can't smile without you, I can't smile without you, I can't laugh and I can't sing. I'm finding it hard to do anything."
My point of this whole story is that your engagement photos will be all that more captivating if you draw on something that is special between you and your partner. Something that makes you smile, something that makes you shine! Something that will forever remind you (or annoy you) about the love of your life.
