A Very Vintage Wedding Fair 2012 Review

There is so much going on in the wedding industry in Brisbane at the moment, it's hard to keep up. Every other night there is a venue hosting its wedding open night, and a bridal fair of sorts every other weekend.

The highlight of this last month has to be, without a doubt, A Very Vintage Wedding Fair. It was the first of it's kind in Australia (the UK have been doing them for years), and i must say compared to a few of the other fairs i've been to, this was impressive.

In keeping with the theme of being 'vintage', the fair was intimate, cozy and quaint. There was inspiration everywhere you turned. The stall holders (suppliers) really went to a lot of trouble to make their stands look amazing. There were definitely no boring stands with a few posters up and pamplets on a desk. This was like a visual assault... so much beauty to be seen.

I could go on talking about A Very Vintage Fair forever... but i won't... instead i will direct you to the article that has just been featured on Polka Dot Bride. There you will find a full round up of this wonderful wedding fair. I can't wait for next year, i know it is going to be bigger and better and that just thrills me to my vintage bones!!

Don't forget... see all the details of the fair on Polka Dot Bride

Luscious Lemonade Stand

I have finally found something that i can cook... well okay, so it's not really cooking, but it does involve being in the kitchen doesn't it? I have recently perfected a wonderful lemonade recipe and i'm completely obsessed with my little drink. Incorporating a rustic, vintage lemonade stand at your wedding, or having a lemonade themed engagement shoot is simply the sweetest thing. It just goes to show that once again, everything old is new again! I LOVE homemade lemonade!

The leader of the new age Lemonade brigade in Australia is without a doubt, Monique Bowley of The Little Van That Could. Monique takes her retro van on tour to all the coolest festivals in Adelaide where she sells her homemade Lemonade. Business is so good that she recently started bottling her homemade goodness and is now adding milkshakes to her van of treats. The Little Van That Could can also be hired for parties, weddings and bridal showers. Monique's story is truly inspiring and i'm so glad to see somebody in Australia making a living out of what i've always dreamt of doing. I love The Little Van That Could.

Vintage Beach Styled Wedding Shoot

The best way for me to tell you about a wedding supplier is to experience their product or service first-hand and then tell you about my expereince. And this is exactly what i did when i was involved in a collaboration of amazing Queensland wedding industry professionals at the end of last year.

The gorgeous Vintage Beach styled wedding shoot was featured yesterday on Australia's leading wedding website, Polka Dot Bride.

Rather than repeat the entire article i'm going to send you straight to Polka Dot Bride where you can read all about the magnificent wedding experts that were involved in creating these beautiful images. Thank you to everyone who was involved. I can't recommend their talents for your wedding enough!! Take note of the suppliers because they truely are top of their game. And thank you, to the moon and back, to Ms Polka Dot for sharing the love xoxo
