Winter Wonderland Dessert Bar

If ever you are blessed enough to have a limit-less budget for your planned party, whether it be your wedding, engagement, a birthday or a baby shower, there are a few names you simply must have in your little black book.

Preston Bailey, Lisa Vorce, and Mindy Weiss are, in my eyes, the creme de la creme of event planners. Their work is the kind that dreams are made of. But if your savings account doesn't quite make the cut, you can still take inspiration from their amazing signature styles and create your own dream event, I certainly do.

I work as a corporate flight attendant and have created many 'little events' on-board. I think I must be the luckiest flight attendant in the world because my bosses are extreme fashionistas. They love glamour, style and anything that's in vogue (and I love anything that they own... I melt with the sea of Hermes kelly bags and Chanel couture that parades past me each flight). Their love for style has enabled me to create some wonderful themed table displays for their flights.

I recently took inspiration from another amazingly talented event planner, Amy Atlas. Now here is one lady who has been sprinkled with 'the lucky wand'. Amy is young, attractive and sensationally talented. Her creative talent inspired me to create a 'winter wonderland dessert bar'. As you can imagine the space i was working with was small...very small, but it just goes to prove that 'big is not always better'.

I must say, I hit the jackpot when I discovered Scrumptious cupcakes in the South of France. For me, relying on chef's in various countries, and trying to explain your vision over the phone does not always end in success. Thankfully I found Naomi Parsons, owner of Scrumptious. Not only did the cupcakes arrive (personally delivered by Naomi), but also perfect... and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They were the show-stopper... or should I say 'snow-topper' ?

Sweet nothings ?... Sweet everything !

Cupcake by Scrumptious

Macaroons and Marshmellows, Oh my !!

Meringues, chocolate peanuts
and white chocolate almond biscuits

Winter Wonderful Cupcakes

Something tells me it's going to be a wonderful winter !

Your blog is perfection (I've just spent a long time reading past posts) except for the errant apostrophes--using possessives instead of plurals! Other than that--lovely.

(example: fashionista's needs to be fashionistas, display's needs to be displays. . . it's pervasive throughout your blog).

love,
English Teacher

Thank you so much to everyone for their comments and support ! You don't know how much it means to me.

And thank you to my 'English Teacher'... I know my grammar is disgusting. Unfortunately while my sister had her nose stuck in books and feeding her hunger for words, I was outside playing tennis, netball, soccer, riding bikes and falling over. I guess we can be masters of everything. I will try to improve my grammar from now on.

Thank you once again. Please stand-by for more rainbow chasing and frog kissing xx
