Where has the past week gone? I think i've managed to lose a few days in cyber space as i've waltzed through pages and pages of designers Spring 2011 bridal collections. If anything has come of it, it is this... i've decided i can never possibly get married! Honestly, i don't think i could do it. I mean, how would i ever be able to choose just one dress?

My New Obsession... This Way - That Way
So it was during this week of cyber bridal dress shopping, that my obsession began... reception dresses! At one time it was customary for a bride to change into a 'going away' outfit to farewell her guests, as she and her husband left for their honeymoon. But nowadays it's not so much a wardrobe change for the holiday flight, instead a glamorous dress change is made to prepare for a night of dancing and partying with family and friends. With my dilemma of not possibly being able to choose just one wedding dress, i've formed an obsession for matching an equally glamorous, more comfortable, reception dress with traditional bridal gowns, that way being able to wear two gorgeous wedding dresses on your wedding day !! Yay !!!
And so here it is... This Way (the ceremony way), and That Way (the reception way), my new weekly post (or obsession) of gorgeous gowns.

It's A Nice Day For A ... White Party
I've always wanted to host a white party, probably because i've always had loads of fun when i've been to one (especially the New Years Eve white party on Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janerio... amazing !!). Imagine a white garden party with sheer, pure white fabrics floating in the breeze, flowers bunched together like fluffy white clouds and guests mingling dressed in fabulous fresh white fashion....aaahhhh so dreamy.

Thank You Mum!
How do you even begin to thank your Mum for looking after you and nurturing you into the woman that you have become as you stand before her on your wedding day? Well here is a beautiful, invaluable gift idea that is sure to bring a tear to her eyes.
Arrange with your photographer to have a photo taken that replicates one of your Mum and Dad on their wedding day. Then, have the two images framed side by side... and let the gift speak for itself. Completely priceless !!! (well, except for the photographer on the day of course... hahaha).

Save The Date
I think a 'save the date bride', is a very organized bride! Save the date cards are a prelude to invitation cards, and sent out just after you are engaged and as soon as you have decided on a date for your big day. And my gosh, these days they are a little creative piece of heaven.
I've tried desperately to upload my inspiration behind this post, but my little blonde head has taken over me and i've failed. So, let me tell you instead... if you are looking for a fabulous idea for your save the date cards check out this insane digital movie card of Vanessa and Fabien created by Studio Artifice . I love it !! I will definitely be contacting Studio Artifice when my time comes !!
But if you don't have the time to shoot a movie style save the date card, or can't afford it, here are some other wonderful ideas to consider. Think about things like cookies, cupcakes, tea towels, handkerchiefs, luggage tags, scratch-it cards, pens and pencils. Put your creative thinking caps on, this can be one fun project !
