When I think of a dream wedding, I think of the beautiful bride swanning down the aisle in a distinctively 'Vera' gown. A gown which may take a life time to save for, but when we are talking about a 'Vera Wang', it is worth every pain-staking penny.
Vera Wang is quite simply, the queen of bridal couture. Her gowns are known for their form-fitting design and flattering styles. Each year her collections carry with them a show-stopping element, from high-drama ruffles to oversized bows, delicate ribbons or mountains of tulle, your search for the perfect 'Vera' doesn't mean your limited to this years collection... Vera is timeless.
But remember girls ..."You don't alter a Vera Wang to fit you... you alter yourself to fit Vera!"
Vera Wang's 2010 collection was a surprise, as it was definately a step away from her usual traditional style and a move toward modern-edgy designs. This year was all about layers and layers of light, airy, romantic fabric... in abundance. Wang also noted the economy struggles of the world and included several more affordable gowns in her collection, making the median price of this year's gowns around $4000.
"For most women a wedding gown represents far more than just something to wear on her glorious day. It is also the embodiment of a dream, perhaps one she has nurtured since childhood. In this fantasy of idealized happiness, the groom represents perfection and the face of all human possibility. The instant a woman becomes engaged, however, all that energy and passion gets transferred to her dress" (Vera Wang on Weddings)
