Merry Christmas

Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light.
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight.

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Make the yule-tide gay.
From now on, our troubles will be miles away.

Here we are in olden days,
Happy golden days of yore.
Faithful friends who are dear to us,
Gather near to us once more.

Through the years, we all will be together,
If the fate allow.
Hang a shining star upon the highest bough,
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now!

Memories In Sketch

I don't know about you, but i just love designers sketches of wedding gowns. I think it makes you realize just how special your dress is and how significant this one day of your life is. I know that when i get married i will definitely be asking my designer for the art sketch so i can frame it and treasure it as a gorgeous wedding keep-sake.

Nicole Richie & Joel Madden say 'I Do'

After much secrecy Nicole Richie finally tied the knot with her long-time beau Joel Madden, at her father Lionel Richie's Beverly Hills estate on December 11.

Nicole looked the part as she walked down the aisle to "Ballerina Girl", a song Lionel wrote to his daughter in 1986. Her ivory, lace and crystal Marchesa gown (the first of three), featured a skirt made from more than 90 metres of silk organza and was so big she couldn't sit in it. Of course Nicole commissioned the very best wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, to create a Versailles themed reception tent with hundreds of candles, lavishly decorated tables of white hydrangeas, orchids and green hedging. The newlyweds had their first dance to 'What a Wonderful World'.

Time to party! As Nicole changed into her third Marchesa gown, a black bias-cut dress with a diamond and crystal overlay and headpiece, the room was also transformed into a gothic cocktail lounge. Mismatching lounges, leopard-fur ottomans, Moroccan lamps and a black dance-floor created a very eclectic and fun vibe. At 2am waffles, sausages and eggs appeared to re-energize the party goers.

Historical Homestead

One of the best ways to make a wedding stand out is to choose a unique and memorable venue. Many of the most amazing receptions are those that are held outdoors, like this gorgeous wedding I found photographed by Marie Labbancz.

Meghan and Peter planned a country wedding on the grounds of Cliveden, a historic 18th century estate in Philadelphia. Set on six-acres the venue allowed for a magnificent ceremony and tented reception filled with charming country details. I'm sure there is a historic house as beautiful as Cliveden in Australia that could accommodate an equally gorgeous wedding. Look out Australia, i'm on the hunt !!

Recipe Of Love

Take a cup of attraction, a litre of affection, a few tablespoons of romance...playfully mix it together and bake with extra care. The end result, and what's bound to rise is a beautiful batch of love.

Maybe you feel that you have found the perfect recipe for love, or maybe you or your partner are chefs by profession, whatever the case, a playful photo shoot centred around a kitchen and cooking will result in a delicious platter of pictures for you and your groom to drool over.
