Vera Wang 'Diana' Gown

Vera Wang gowns are always a popular choice, but there is one gown from her 2010 Spring collection which seems to be a big favourite of brides around the world. I guess being the dress selected for Vera's advertising campaign says it all, but the 'Diana' labelled gown really is a show-stopper. The strapless soft sweetheart, full A-line gown with draped wrap bodice and swirling frothy draped skirt is a modern princess gown.

B.Hughes Bridal in Nashville spoke to another blogger about this gown saying, "We LOVE this gown! As an insider, we can tell you that the bow around her waist is actually a removable bow. Without it, the bodice is so clean and soft around the face and the drama and romance of the tiered layers is left to the skirt. We did love the bow for the runway, but for a real bride, we think it is best with a soft grosgrain ribbon at the waist."

This gorgeous gown is available at Vera Wang

You Are My Sunshine!

Yellow is a colour that shines with optimism and happiness, and i notice more and more brides choosing to use it in their wedding. It is said that shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future, however, the colour yellow is a difficult one to bring across cultural lines. In China, yellow is a sacred colour, revered and almost regal. In Greece, yellow tells others that you are sad, much like wearing all black can indicate mourning or depression in North America. For the French, yellow screams jealousy and envy... which explains why i have a difficult relationship with yellow (my boss lives in Paris and is not fond of yellow floral arrangements). Here is a sunshine, yellow inspiration board. Enjoy !

When Giuliana Ranic walked down the aisle, she chose yellow for her bridesmaids. Her Maid-of- Honor stood out in a stunning Oscar de la Renta gown (left) and her other three maids were glowing in BCBG chiffon gowns.

It Feels Like Home

There's something in your eyes
Makes me wanna lose my self,
Makes me wanna lose myself in your heart,
There's something in your voice
That makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts
For the rest of my life

If you knew how lonely
My life has been
And how long I've been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you've done

It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from
It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I belong

A window breaks down on lumdard street
And a siren rings in the night
But I'm all right cuz I have you here with me,
And I can almost see through the dark there is light

Well if you knew how much this moment means to me
And how long I've waited for your touch
And if you knew how happy you are making me
I never thought that I'd love anyone so much

It feels like home to me
It feels like home to me
It feels like I'm all the way back where I come from

Ivy & Aster

It has been awhile since i've seen something that makes me excited about ever getting married. As no surprise, it was photographer Elizabeth Messina that has made me melt with passion for a wedding day of my own! She has dreamily photographed a fairytale story for bridal wear designers Ivy & Aster, and i just had to share with you the amazing photographs. Seriously, i don't care how many extra hours i have to work in my lifetime... without a doubt i want Elizabeth Messina to photograph the beauty of the day that i say 'i do'... if i should be so lucky. How long does it take for a frog to turn into a Prince anyway?
