Vera Wang 2012 Spring Collection

As a wedding blogger, a trip to New York is not complete without a stop by Vera Wang's flagship store on Madison Avenue. And by the looks of photos released today, Kim Kardashian can't resist either. Which begs the question... will we be seeing bride-to-be Kim in a Vera Wang gown at her August nuptials?

My recent window shopping at Vera Wang in New York

Here is a sample of Vera's past two collections...

Vera Wang's 2011 Fall / Winter Collection was given an ethereal voice... with billowing layers of organza, slim columned chantilly lace and flounces of tulle. The collection was designed to not only focus on a brides entrance but to also be about her exit. So detailing here is not only head to toe, but front to back aswell. And as no surprise there was, what is becoming Wang's signature feature, a black ribbon here and there.

Vera Wang 2o12 Spring collection is an ode to the Paris Opera. Think young dancers floating around... artful and beautiful.

Smoldering Engagement Shoots

I always find myself getting lost in the images of photographer Tanja Lippert. I can spend days looking at her photographs. She seems to be shooting a lot of seriously smoldering engagement shoots at the moment. Unfortunately for my Australian brides-to-be, Tanja is based in the US, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the beauty of these super-sexy engagement shoots.

Lamington Tower

For those of you who live in Brisbane and have not been to the Eagle Farm Markets... you seriously don't know what you are missing out on!! It's becoming a Sunday routine for me. In fact, I am loving the entire Racecourse road area right now. Eagle Farm Markets, Le Bon Choix and then there is Gino's Restaurant !!! A Brisbane institution. You know a restaurant is good when you find out it is 'family run' and been that way for 30 years. I'm salivating just thinking about it .... aaarrghhhh i'm craving the succulent Simon Special. Yum !!!

Anyway... back to the purpose of today's topic... Lamingtons ... i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw these gigantic lamingtons at the markets... and then saw brides creating lamington towers for their wedding cakes. How cute !!

Why not create your own wedding lamington tower?
