Royal Wedding Watching Party

Not long now until the big Royal Wedding of William and Catherine. It was only today that i suddenly got wedding fever and questioned if i should hold a Royal wedding party of my own. So i sat down and came up with a few ideas and an inspiration board.

There are so many typically British things you could do. Of course start by serving Pimms to your guests on arrival, offering the ladies a fascinator, gloves and pearls, and the men a top hat and tie. For starters serve a traditional English high-tea (cucumber sandwiches, scones & clotted cream) and decorate your table with english roses sitting in pretty tea cups. If you are going so far as to serve a meal, think about having a traditional roast, fish and chips, bangers and mash or cottage pie. Your bar can be decorated with a bunting of the union jack and display bottles of Beefeaters Gin which is kindly being guarded by a little toy solider. There is a lot of excitement and fun to be had on 29th April 2011. I'm looking forward to it.
