Wedding Gowns on ebay

I started pondering recently about what brides do with their wedding gowns after the big day. Do you keep them in a box to collect dust forever in the hope that you will give birth to a daughter who would be silly enough to wear it some 30 years later? A friend suggested that you have a christening gown for your first born made out of it... or do you do the sensible thing and sell it on, for another excited bride to enjoy?

On this note, I decided to have a look around ebay to see what Australian designer gowns are available for a budget conscious bride. Here are my top 5 gowns on ebay today...

J'aton on ebay Buy it now $4,500 (originally $9,000)

Collette Dinnigan on ebay ends 28th November $1,950 (originally $3,950)

Connie Simonetti on ebay Buy it now $3,000 (originally $9,700)

Karen Willis Holmes on ebay ends 5th November $399.95
(originally $1,489)

Mariana Hardwick on ebay ends 7th November $850 (originally $5,500)

And my pick for International designer for sale on Australian ebay...
Vera Wang on ebay ends 5th November $3,990 (originally $8,500)

Precious Pashmina

What lady wouldn't love to receive a stunning pashmina shawl as a gift at a wedding? Whether it be a winter wedding or a breezy beach-side soiree, this thoughtful gift will be valued and treasured by your guests forever after.

Instead of displaying your beautiful pashminas in baskets, why not be a little creative and drape them over each of the guests chairs.

This Kiss

You can kiss me in the moonlight,
On the rooftop under the sky.
You can kiss me with the windows open,
While the rain comes pouring inside.
Kiss me in sweet slow motion,
Let everything slide.
You got me floating, you got me flying.
It's the way you love me,
It's a feeling like this,
This Kiss, This Kiss !!

Oyster Ice Bar

This time of year in Australia is simply perfect for indulging in oysters and champagne. I've often thought how i'd love to have an oyster bar at my own wedding (and then go missing with a horny Frog Prince for awhile.. hehehe). But to be honest, oysters are not exactly the prettiest things on earth are they? Well here are some great ways to 'pretty' them up with sculptured ice-trays, along side vodka ice-cups and chilled champagne bottles (and i have to say, how sensational are the huge 'diamond' ice carvings in the last photo... now that's a diamond... me likey !!!)

A unique concept from Screaming Queens...

Bumbles Cafe Wedding

I've posted before about one of my most favourite cafe's at Budds Beach on the Gold Coast. Bumbles Cafe is a little piece of heaven. Not only is the food delicious, but the decor is equally decadent. I was doing cartwheels of joy when i found photos, by Carson Hall Photography, of Toki and Pete's wedding at Bumbles. Their ceremony took place in the park across the street and the reception in the gorgeous rooms of Bumbles. I'm soooo envious !!
